Lodges
De Tabley Lodge is the oldest Lodge still meeting at Knutsford having been formed in 1863
and counting Lord De Tabley among its founders.
Originally meeting in The Royal George Hotel in the town the Lodge moved to
Leicester-Warren Hall to continue its long and proud association with the De Tableys
and Leicester-Warrens in Knutsford. The Lodge crest depicts the De Tabley Armorial Crest
and family motto.

Fellowship Lodge was originally the Daughter Lodge of Friendship Lodge and was
formed in 1947. After the First World War Friendship Lodge was awarded the
Hallstone Jewel for its contribution to the funds for the building of Freemasons Hall
Great Queen Street, London which was built as a national War Memorial for the fallen
Masonic Brethren in that War.
Among the Founders of North Cheshire Lodge were The Provincial Grand Master of the day,
R.W.Bro. Cuthbert Leicester-Warren, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master,
W.Bro. George Leigh who became the first Worshipful Master and W.Bro. Warren Hastings,
the Provincial Grand Secretary.
The Lodge now draws a number of members from the Goostrey area. Renowned for its informality
it is probably the only Lodge in Cheshire not to wear white gloves in the Lodge Room.

Most new Lodges are formed when membership of established Lodges gets too high, but, Congleton Lodge was the idea of one man, Alan Pimlott, who lived just outside Congleton. His own Lodge was in Manchester but thought it would be a good idea to form a Lodge locally. Eventually gathering together 20 Masons from all over Cheshire, and beyond, and with help from their supportive Ladies, Congleton Lodge No 8884, a bit of a hybrid, was formed in Congleton in October 1979. Some 18 months later the Lodge moved to Knutsford where it continues to thrive.
The Lodge crest is based upon the heraldic Wheatsheaf, the use of such an emblem within Cheshire is not entirely understood. The emblem was extensively used as a trademark on many products sold throughout the Co-operative Movement for about 120 years.
Originally Wheatsheaf Lodge acted as a catalyst for the Masonic Brethren connected with the Co-operative movement. The name and the emblem of the Wheatsheaf was chosen by the Lodge for two special reasons, one is that is part of the County and Provincial banner and secondly it is the traditional emblem of the Co-operative movement.

LODGE OF GOOD ENDEAVOUR No. 6628
Consecratated 1948
The Lodge of Good Endeavour was formed in 1948 by businessmen in the Irlam area. As a result it was decided to meet in dinner suits and on Saturdays. A tradition which exists to this day.
The first meeting place was at the Railway Hotel, Lymm, later moving to The Masonic Hall at Tatton Road, Sale.
In 1995, the Lodge moved from Sale to Knutsford Masonic Hall, where members of the Chapter of Good Endeavour had been instrumental in its contruction.
Since 2000 membership has been swelled by the members of Bollin Lodge, who, when their Lodge had to close, joined to regenerate the Lodge of Good Endeavour
